Recently voted New Jersey's Favorite Dance Company, New Jersey Ballet returns to NJPAC on Saturday, March 13 with an exciting evening of new ballets introduced this season. Performance tickets are $50, $40, $30. Discounts for Students, Seniors and Groups.

The Three Riddles of Turandot, by celebrated Chinese-American choreographer Nai-Ni Chen, is a neoclassical ballet that breathes life into the ancient Chinese legend about icy Princess Turandot who holds all suitors at bay by decreeing that she will only marry a man who can solve three riddles. Set to Puccini's famous score this Turandot features dramatic dance and pantomime. The Star-Ledger called it "a ballet of compelling mystery and emotional depth…a sumptuously theatrical production."

Top Hat Medley brings together New Jersey Ballet's dancers with members of the New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble for a jazzy, high energy ballroom piece. Top Hat Medley was co-choreographed by The Tap Ensemble director Deborah Mitchell and Broadway dancer/choreographer James Kinney, to excerpts from Top Hat, White Tie and Tails, I Could Have Danced All Night and Begin the Beguine. At a recent performance, the audience demanded an encore.

Kinney's March brings six couples together in a lighthearted jazz piece that explores how people meet, come together and move apart all in one day in Central Park. It is a high-spirited, high-voltage Broadway number. Recorder Newspapers wrote, "a high energy way… [to explore] the jazz dance medium. Very sharp and up to date."

The Ballet will honor Robert S. Steinbaum, Esq., publisher of the New Jersey Law Journal and Founder/Director of New Jersey Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, which provides free legal services to working artists.

Hosting the festivities, CBS2 News celebrities: co-anchor Kristine Johnson and meteorologist John Elliott.

For the entire Gala experience, there will be a Champagne Reception before the performance and a sit-down dinner afterward in NJPAC's Chase Room. Patron Tickets are $300 and include Cocktail Reception, preferred seating at the performance. Silver Patron Tickets are $750 and include Cocktail Reception, preferred seating at the performance, and a full gourmet dinner. Corporate tables start at $7,500. And there are advertising opportunities in the Souvenir Gala Journal. For details, call the ballet company at 973-597-9600.
